Latin American and Iberian StudiesThe Graduate Program in Latin American and Iberian studies at UCSB offers interdisciplinary training leading to a Master of Arts degree. The program is designed for students wishing to acquire a deeper knowledge of the region from more than one disciplinary angle within the humanities and social sciences. Many successful graduates work in the education sector, in nonprofit organizations or enter professional schools to study business administration, law, or public health. Others pursue doctoral studies in traditional academic departments such as anthropology, education, history, literature, or sociology, and make academic careers.
